Emiliano SchenaAssociate ProfessorHis research interests are focused on the study of thermal treatment for cancer removal with particular attention to the monitoring of tissue temperature during the procedure, to the theoretical description of laser tissue interaction, to the experimental estimation of tissue optical properties, and to the use of gold nanoparticles for improving the selectivity of the treatment, on the fiber optic sensors (Magnetic Resonance-compatible) for monitoring of physiological parameters, as well as for the development of smart textile for respiratory monitoring.
