CALL FOR POSITIONS
In the context of several National and International Grants, we are seeking highly-motivated PhD students and/or outstanding Post-Doc scientists to join us in developing new wearable devices and objects for physiological and physical activities monitoring.
Activities will be carried out in a multidisciplinary research environment, the Unit of Measurements and Biomedical Instrumentation (https://mtmbilab.weebly.com) @ Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM), in collaboration with the NEXTlab: Neurophysiology and Neuroengineering of Human-Technology (http://www.unicampus.it/next) of the same institution.

Candidates will work to one or more of the following research topics:
The call for applications to the PhD Programme @ UCBM will open by the end of July, and successful candidates will start the PhD Programme on November 1st, 2020.
As regards post-doc positions, the formal call for applications will be available after the summer, and the positions will start on November 1st, 2020 or soon after.

Post-Doc ideal candidates should
- have relevant publications in international journals
- have good English fluency
- Be proficient in MATLAB, Python, C, C++ programming
- have experience in experimental protocols on human subjects
- have experience in fund raising
- have experience in one of the research topics described below
PhD Student ideal candidates should
- have a master degree (or equivalent) in biomedical engineering, robotics, electronics engineering, computer science, signal processing, or other related fields.
- have good English fluency
- be proficient (or prone to learn) in MATLAB, Python, C, C++ programming
- have experience in experimental protocols on human subjects
- be highly motivated to work at one of the research topics described below
Candidates will work to one or more of the following research topics:
- Wearable systems design and development, encompassing electronic design (e.g., PCB design), assembly and testing, microcontroller-based programming
- Body Sensor Networks (from sensors connection to cloud and data access)
- Real-time data acquisition and processing (e.g., cloud-based data management system) and related algorithms
- Experimental protocols on human subjects
